Throughout his career as a teacher, economist, company director and Chief Technology Officer for major groups, Jean-Pierre HAUET has been in direct contact with the most recent developments in many technological fields.
After graduating from the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole des Mines de Paris, he held various positions in the French Administration from 1971 to 1979. He was Rapporteur Général of the Energy Commission for the French National Plan and taught Operational Research at the Ecole des Mines in Nancy.
In 1984, he was appointed Chairman and CEO of the Laboratoires de Marcoussis (Alcatel Research Centre) specialised in information technology, opto-electronics, lasers, materials and energy.
In 1988, he joined CEGELEC as head of the Products and Technology Group. He became specialised in software engineering and industrial automation.
In 1998, he was appointed Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer of the ALSTOM group.
In 2002, he joined KB Intelligence as Associate Partner.
Since 2003, he has been President of ISA-France, the French section of the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society. He is deputy executive director of the Global Forum for Sustainable development and Chairman of the editorial committee of REE, a well-known magazine specializing in electricity and electronics.
He is the author of many papers and scientific publications.
In 1981, he received the Grand Prix de l’Energie of the French banking group Société Générale, awarded by Professeur Néel, Nobel Prize in Physics.
